The sound of sap from a 40 year old sugar maple tree in southern illinois, dripping into a plastic bucket. Outside my gym is a large tree or bush and every night in the summer months a swarm of sparrows invades the bush. Hundreds of birds disappear into the thick hedge for the night. The sound is unique and overwhelming. There is an sporadic wind sound but a few long sections without.

This is a recording of an analogue bass synthesizer, made by focusrite saffire pro 26. It's a smooth sound with an instant attack and two final wobble created with an lfo. The sound has been equalized and compressed and some reverb mixed with an aux. 140 bpm. Good fun.

These sounds are produced by the instrument called rainstick. It has little pebbles inside that produce some interesting slide noises when held upside down or inclined. I hope they can help you in one of your projects.

Racking the slide on a. 45 automatic. It may have been a colt. May require some trimming and buffing. I think i recorded this with an akg perception 200 using cool edit -- and i did it to get my room-mate to leave (after we recorded the sounds of several of his guns and a sword. . . ).

Just stumbled across the recording of me scraping all of my guitar strings while adding headphones from my amp (with distortion) to my phone when i recorded the sound and i decided to share this with you.
